About Ponderosa Pines Resort Ponderosa Pines Resort is a brand-new, 44-unit hospitality property located in the Flagstaff area, designed around outdoor adventure, wellness, and connection to the surrounding landscape. The property features a unique collection of guest amenities, including hot tubs, saunas, cold plunges, disc golf, an outdoor gym, climbing wall, dedicated dog parks, and thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces. As a new property, this is an opportunity for an experienced hospitality leader to help shape the guest experience, establish strong operating standards, build a great team, and take ownership of the resort's day-to-day success from the ground up. The Role We are seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead all aspects of resort operations. This person will be responsible for creating an exceptional guest experience while building an efficient, accountable, and positive operating culture. This is not a desk-only management position. We're looking for someone who is comfortable moving between guest experience, team leadership, property operations, maintenance coordination, financial performance, and whatever else the day requires. As our hospitality portfolio continues to grow, there is also opportunity for expanded leadership and multi-property responsibility for the right person. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations of the 44-unit resort Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and lead the onsite team Establish and maintain operating procedures and service standards Create a welcoming, memorable, and consistent guest experience Monitor occupancy, revenue, labor, expenses, and overall property performance Manage budgets and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency Oversee housekeeping, maintenance, grounds, and guest-facing operations Ensure amenities—including hot tubs, saunas, cold plunges, fitness and recreation areas—are maintained to a high standard Respond effectively to guest concerns and operational issues Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and company leadership Maintain appropriate safety, cleanliness, and property standards Help build the culture, systems, and operating rhythm of a brand-new property Support future growth and additional hospitality operations as needed What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is an experienced hospitality operator who combines strong leadership with a willingness to be hands-on. We're looking for someone who: Has previous hotel, resort, lodging, or hospitality management experience Has experience managing and developing teams Understands property-level financials, budgeting, labor management, and operational performance Is highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities Takes ownership and solves problems without waiting to be told what to do Communicates effectively with guests, employees, vendors, and ownership Is comfortable operating in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment Enjoys building systems and improving operations Has experience with openings, boutique hospitality, outdoor resorts, or multi-property operations—a plus, but not required Why Join Us? Compensation:
