As the Guest Experience Manager at Aquarium at the Boardwalk, you have the opportunity to be part of our fast-paced, conservation-focused organization. In this role, you'll lead our Guest Experience Team by supporting our Team Members as they deliver world-class experiences to our Guests - Every Guest, Every time. Reporting to the General Manager, you'll have the overall responsibility to maintain our high standards while managing the Guest Experience Team in all aspects of ticket and retail sales.
Essential Responsibilities:
Supervises front-of-house Team Members to ensure the highest possible ticket, photo, and retail sales. Oversees Team Members operating retail and food & beverage concessions. Exemplifies superior levels of guest service. Coaches Team Members to meet the same standards and to comply with all policies, procedures, and practices. Handles guest complaints and incidents. As the Manager on Duty, has responsibility for the cleanliness, safety, security, and emergency preparedness of the facility. Ensures labor expenses are managed to budget. Serves as lead in hiring, training, and managing our front-of-house Team Members. Prepares and communicates schedule to Team Members. Participates in implementing semi-annual action plans to increase employee engagement. Assists with administrative and financial tasks, including but not limited to POS reconciliations, third-party billing, digital and physical file maintenance, mail processing, and inventory.
Requirements:
B.A. or B.S. degree preferred 2 years of management experience preferred, preferably in the hospitality or attractions industries Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience in cash handling Ability to use office productivity software and spreadsheets, plus experience with other digital and operations technologies Must be available to work weekends, with additional availability required for nights and holidays as business needs dictate.
