Job Description

This is a highly visible role with direct exposure to commercial strategy for a growing hospitality group in one of the Jersey Shore's premier destinations. You'll have the opportunity to shape how two distinct properties operate at the intersection of guest experience and revenue performance, working closely with senior leadership on the systems and strategy that drive our business.
Job Summary:
This role owns the end-to-end guest reservations function across two properties: a 162-room hotel and a 42-room boutique property. The main responsibility of the Reservations Manager is to drive booking accuracy and revenue capture, manage a team of reservations agents, and serve as the operational backbone connecting our Opera Cloud PMS, SynXis CRS, and Revinate Reservations & Sales platforms. The Reservations Manager will report directly to the VP of Commercial Strategy and play a central role in translating our commercial strategy into flawless day-to-day execution.
Job Responsibilities:
Team Leadership Hire, train, schedule, and coach a team of reservations agents supporting both properties Set individual and team performance goals; conduct regular one-on-ones and performance reviews Build and maintain staffing schedules that align coverage with call volume, seasonality, and group/event demand Foster a service-first, detail-oriented culture and hold the team accountable to brand and quality standards Reservations Operations Oversee daily reservations operations across both properties, ensuring accuracy in rates, inventory, and booking data Manage reservations workflows in Opera Cloud PMS, including profile management, and inventory controls Own reservations sales activity in Revinate Reservations & Sales, tracking lead conversion, call compliance performance, and guest inquiries Audit reservation records regularly for accuracy, resolving discrepancies between systems proactively Serve as the primary point of escalation for complex, VIP, or high-value group reservations Cross-Functional & Commercial Collaboration •Partner with the VP of Commercial Strategy on rate strategy, forecasting, and inventory decisions Collaborate with Sales and Revenue Management to align reservations execution with broader commercial goals Provide regular reporting on booking pace, conversion rates, denial/regret tracking, and reservations team performance Support the rollout of new rate strategies, packages, and promotions across all systems Identify process gaps or system inefficiencies and recommend improvements to workflows or training
Job Requirements:
Proven experience in a hotel reservations, front office, or reservations sales role; multi-property experience is a strong plus Prior supervisory or management experience, with a track record of building and developing a team Hands-on experience with Opera Cloud PMS preferred Experience with SynXis CRS and/or Revinate strongly preferred; comfort learning new systems quickly is essential Strong understanding of hotel distribution, rate parity, and inventory management fundamentals Excellent organizational skills and exacting attention to detail Clear, professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with guests and internal stakeholders Ability to manage competing priorities across two properties in a fast-paced, seasonal market Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak-season hours as business demands Ability to frequently sit, stand, bend, climb, kneel, and move about the facility Must be able to carry, lift or pull items weighing up to 25 pounds
