Job Description

Position Summary The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of resort operations to ensure exceptional guest and owner experiences, operational excellence, and financial performance. This leadership role is responsible for coordinating daily operations across lodging, food and beverage outlets, conference and banquet facilities, recreation, housekeeping, maintenance, owner relations, and guest services. The AGM serves as the General Manager's primary operational partner and assumes overall responsibility in the General Manager's absence. Key Responsibilities Operations Leadership Assist in directing all day-to-day resort operations to ensure seamless guest experiences. Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency. Coordinate activities between all operating departments to achieve organizational goals. Monitor guest satisfaction and owner satisfaction scores and implement service improvement initiatives. Food & Beverage Operations Oversee multiple restaurants and bars, ice cream and gift shop, room deliveries, and banquet operations. Partner with leadership to maintain exceptional food quality and service standards. Assist in labor costs, food costs, inventory, and departmental profitability. Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations. Conference & Events Oversee conference center and banquet operations, ensuring successful execution of meetings, conventions, weddings, and special events. Collaborate with sales, catering, and banquet teams to exceed client expectations. Resolve client concerns promptly and professionally. Leadership & Team Development Recruit, train, mentor, and develop department managers and supervisors. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching sessions. Promote employee engagement and recognition programs. Guest Experience Lead by example in delivering exceptional hospitality. Address and resolve guest concerns in a timely and professional manner. Ensure consistent delivery of service standards throughout the property. Build positive relationships with repeat guests, meeting planners, and community partners. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with health departments, fire safety, and local regulations. Support emergency preparedness and crisis management procedures. Maintain security standards and risk management practices. Housekeeping and Maintenance Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, common areas, and back-of-house spaces Oversee preventive maintenance and deep clean programs for guest rooms and resort facilities Ensure departments meet productivity, quality, and Dwell standards to include clean scores, property condition scores, and labor vs billing percentages Monitor key performance indicators such as room inspection scores, maintenance response times, labor costs, and guest feedback Qualifications Minimum of 2-5 years of hospitality leadership experience. Experience preferred in managing multiple food and beverage outlets and/or conference or banquet operations. Knowledge of hotel property management systems (PMS), POS systems, and Microsoft 365. Ability to lead large, diverse teams in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Pay:
$52,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
