Candlewood Suites Turlock is seeking an experienced, hands-on Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping department and ensure our guest rooms and public areas consistently meet hotel cleanliness and quality standards. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, efficient and comfortable taking ownership of the department. The ideal candidate knows how to lead a housekeeping team, manage daily workloads, inspect rooms, maintain productivity and hold team members accountable while creating a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

Lead, supervise and support the housekeeping and laundry team Assign daily room boards and organize workloads based on occupancy, departures and stayovers Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and hotel standards are consistently met Monitor housekeeping productivity and ensure rooms are completed efficiently and on time Train, coach and develop housekeeping team members Address attendance, performance and quality concerns promptly Prepare housekeeping schedules according to occupancy and business needs Coordinate closely with the Front Desk and General Manager regarding room status, priorities and special requests Ensure vacant and arriving rooms are inspected and guest-ready Monitor linen, cleaning supplies, guest supplies and housekeeping inventory Maintain organized housekeeping, laundry and storage areas Report and follow up on maintenance issues identified during room inspections Ensure proper safety, sanitation and chemical-handling procedures are followed Assist with cleaning rooms, laundry or public areas when operationally necessary Help maintain strong guest satisfaction and cleanliness scores Maintain an efficient, productive and accountable housekeeping department

Qualifications:

Previous hotel housekeeping experience required Previous housekeeping supervisory or management experience strongly preferred Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to lead, coach and hold employees accountable Ability to prioritize and manage a busy housekeeping operation Dependable attendance and strong follow-through Comfortable working alongside the team when needed Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions Basic computer and scheduling skills Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus Must have open availability, including weekends and holidays This position regularly works weekends and holidays based on hotel operations and occupancy
