Environmental Services Director - Skilled Nursing Facility Full-Time | Working Supervisor | Housekeeping & Laundry We are seeking an experienced, dependable Environmental Services Director to lead the Housekeeping and Laundry departments in our skilled nursing facility. This is a hands-on working supervisor position. The Environmental Services Director will lead the department while also working alongside staff as needed to ensure our facility maintains a clean, sanitary, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents. Responsibilities

• Supervise and work alongside Housekeeping and Laundry staff
• Coordinate daily staffing, assignments, schedules, and department workflow
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other facility areas
• Oversee laundry services, including resident personal laundry and facility linens
• Perform routine rounds and inspections to ensure work is completed thoroughly and consistently
• Train, coach, and hold employees accountable to established expectations
• Help cover housekeeping or laundry assignments when necessary
• Monitor department supplies and maintain appropriate inventory levels
• Ensure proper use, storage, and labeling of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Maintain compliance with infection prevention, safety, OSHA, and regulatory requirements
• Work closely with Nursing, Maintenance, Administration, and other departments to address resident and facility needs
• Respond promptly to resident, family, and staff concerns related to environmental services
• Assist with hiring, orientation, performance management, and staff development
• Maintain department records, schedules, cleaning procedures, and required documentation
• Participate in facility meetings, quality improvement activities, and survey preparation What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a visible, hands-on leader who takes pride in the appearance of the facility and understands that Environmental Services plays an important role in resident satisfaction and quality of life.

Candidates should have:

• Previous housekeeping, laundry, environmental services, or related experience
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Experience in skilled nursing, assisted living, healthcare, hospitality, or a similar environment preferred
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to lead employees while also working as part of the team
• Good communication and customer-service skills
• Ability to prioritize and respond to changing needs throughout the day
• Knowledge of infection control and healthcare cleaning practices is a plus
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic Position Details
