Holiday Inn Express & Suites Stevensville-Benton Harbor is searching for our next Housekeeping Supervisor! We are searching for the right Supervisor to make sure our standards never slip - managing all aspects of our housekeeping and laundry operations to deliver memorable and unique guest experiences with every single stay.

Job Summary:

Every room has to be perfect. As the Supervisor, you will direct Housekeeping team members to ensure a high standard of cleanliness in all public areas and hotel guest rooms. Ensure guest rooms, public spaces and other specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition. Tour and inspect facility checking all areas, evaluating the performances of the housekeeping team member. Counsel team members in a positive, constructive manner as necessary. Schedule the work force to ensure all areas and shifts are adequately covered. Cross-train entire team for all shift-related duties and responsibilities. Train all Housekeeping team members in OSHA standards and regulations and documentation. Conduct meetings to discuss job functions, teamwork, team development, concerns and questions. Hire team members for all positions in the department with the hotel management team. A little taste of your day-to-day Every day is different, but you will mostly be:

• Managing, coaching, and developing a team dedicated to exceptional housekeeping and laundry standards
• Maintaining and ordering supplies and equipment - while minimizing waste - in support of our green initiatives
• Addressing special requests for guests, VIPs, repeat visitors and VIP Club members
• Assisting with deep cleaning projects and assisting your team during busy periods
• Educating all team members on the importance of remaining compliant with federal, state, and local laws and safety standards What we need from you
• Excellent communication and strong interpersonal strong skills
• Previous Supervisory experience and additional studies in hospitality are encouraged.
