Job Description
Housekeeping Operations Manager Red Maple Retreats | North Conway, NH Hybrid remote/field position We're looking for the person who keeps everything moving behind the scenes—and notices the one towel missing before a guest does. This is not a cleaning position (however you may need to fill in from time to time) . It's an operations role overseeing the day-to-day housekeeping needs of our growing vacation-rental company. You'll manage cleaners and schedules, coordinate laundry and supplies, inspect properties, and make sure every home is ready before guests arrive. You'll work from home for much of the scheduling and communication, but you'll also be regularly out in the field throughout the Mount Washington Valley. This is definitely not a "send a few texts from the couch and hope for the best" position. What You'll Do Manage daily turnover schedules and assign cleaners Coordinate callouts, schedule changes, and last-minute bookings Communicate expectations and property-specific details to the housekeeping team Conduct quality-control inspections and follow up on anything missed Oversee laundry, linens, supplies, and property inventory Deliver supplies and linens to properties when needed Train, support, and hold housekeeping team members accountable Report damage, maintenance concerns, and missing items Help us improve systems as we continue to grow You Might Be Our Person If You Are extremely organized and slightly obsessed with details Can manage people kindly without being afraid to hold them accountable Don't panic when three things change at once Take initiative instead of waiting for step-by-step instructions Are comfortable using apps, scheduling software, and digital checklists Have experience in operations, hospitality, vacation rentals, property management, or team leadership Understand that weekends and holidays are prime time in the vacation-rental world You'll need reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and the ability to regularly travel between properties. You must also be able to lift and carry laundry, linens, and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. Red Maple Retreats is a locally owned, growing vacation-rental management company.
