Job Description

The Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for assisting the Lodging Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department. This includes managing the housekeeping staff, ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained, and maintaining inventory of housekeeping supplies. This is a hands-on, working supervisor role, where you will spend 40% of the time housekeeping, 40% inspecting rooms and directing the team, and 20% administrative duties.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Lodging Manager in managing the housekeeping staff, including training and scheduling Ensure that all guest rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained Assist in housekeeping and workload to ensure rooms are ready for guests by check in Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure that they meet the hotel's cleanliness standards Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and place orders as needed Assist in developing and implementing housekeeping policies and procedures Respond to guest complaints and ensure that they are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner Assist in managing the housekeeping department budget for supplies Perform other duties as assigned by the

Lodging Manager Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent Prior experience in housekeeping or hospitality management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds We maintain a drug-free workplace to ensure the safety and well-being of all employees.
