Job Summary The Housekeeper plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of the facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and custodial services, with experience in housekeeping management within a hotel or similar environment. Duties Oversee daily housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness and maintenance of all areas. Train, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping staff to promote efficiency and high-quality service. Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures for various areas, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards and address any issues promptly. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels while minimizing waste. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules around events or peak occupancy times. Address guest complaints or concerns related to housekeeping services in a professional manner. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in floor care, industrial cleaning, and custodial management. Requirements Proven experience in housekeeping management, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, custodial practices, and floor care procedures. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. Good communication skills to interact effectively with staff and guests. Familiarity with safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and equipment usage.
