In this vital role, you will coordinate daily housekeeping operations, supervise cleaning staff, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and uphold the highest levels of guest satisfaction. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities, including room cleaning, public area maintenance, and special cleaning projects. Lead and motivate housekeeping staff to deliver consistent, high-quality service while adhering to safety procedures. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, corridors, and public spaces to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards are met or exceeded. Train team members on proper cleaning techniques, use of cleaning equipment, chemical handling procedures, and safety data sheets (SDS). Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper storage and maintenance; oversee ordering when necessary. Enforce hotel emergency procedures related to sanitation issues or safety hazards promptly and effectively. Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, safety inspections, incident reports, and staff performance evaluations. Requirements Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or janitorial experience within hospitality environments. Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including vacuuming, chemical agent handling, industrial cleaning methods, and sanitation practices. Familiarity with cleaning equipment operation and maintenance as well as chemical handling protocols aligned with safety data sheets (SDS). Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to guest satisfaction and team collaboration. Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety regulations essential for maintaining a secure environment. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to train, supervise, and motivate a diverse team of custodial staff. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform demanding cleaning tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
