Non-Exempt (Hourly) ──────── ✦ ✷ ✦ ──────── Position Summary The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department while ensuring every guest room and public space reflects the exceptional cleanliness, comfort, and attention to detail that define the KG Motel experience. This position works alongside the housekeeping team by inspecting guestrooms, coaching team members, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring each room is guest-ready. The Housekeeping Supervisor leads by example, fosters teamwork, and creates a positive work environment where every team member takes pride in delivering exceptional hospitality. ──────── ✦ ✷ ✦ ──────── Essential Responsibilities Department Leadership

• Assist the Operations Manager in overseeing the daily operation of the Housekeeping Department.
• Lead the housekeeping team by example through professionalism, teamwork, accountability, and a commitment to exceptional cleanliness.
• Assign daily room assignments based on occupancy, staffing levels, arrivals, departures, and operational priorities.
• Conduct daily housekeeping huddles to communicate occupancy, room priorities, special guest requests, VIP arrivals, and departmental updates.
• Support the hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and development of Guest Room Attendants.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative work environment where team members feel valued and supported.
• Assist with scheduling and staffing while maintaining labor standards and operational efficiency.
• During periods of lower occupancy, actively assist with cleaning guest rooms, public areas, laundry operations, and other housekeeping responsibilities. The Housekeeping Supervisor is expected to lead by example, work alongside the team, and adjust daily responsibilities to support the operational needs of KG Motel.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager. ──────── ✦ ✷ ✦ ──────── Room Inspections & Quality Standards
• Inspect guestrooms daily to ensure they meet KG Motel cleanliness and presentation standards before being released for guest arrival.
• Verify guestrooms are clean, fully stocked, properly maintained, and ready to welcome guests.
• Conduct inspections of public areas, linen closets, housekeeping storage areas, laundry facilities, and employee workspaces.
• Provide immediate coaching and constructive feedback to maintain consistency and quality.
• Submit and follow up on maintenance work orders to ensure repairs are completed promptly.
• Ensure housekeeping carts, closets, and work areas remain organized, stocked, and clean. At KG Motel, inspections are not about finding fault—they are about ensuring every guest receives the exceptional experience they expect. ──────── ✦ ✷ ✦ ──────── Guest Experience
• Partner with the Front Office to ensure guestrooms are available for arriving guests.
• Prioritize VIP arrivals, early arrivals, and special guest requests.
• Respond promptly and professionally to housekeeping-related guest concerns.
• Look for opportunities to exceed guest expectations through exceptional cleanliness and thoughtful attention to detail.
• Help ensure every guest room reflects the warmth, comfort, and character of KG Motel. ──────── ✦ ✷ ✦ ──────── Laundry & Inventory Management
• Oversee daily laundry operations to ensure an adequate supply of clean linens is available.
• Monitor housekeeping inventories, guest supplies, linens, cleaning chemicals, and operating supplies.
• Conduct routine linen and supply inventories and communicate purchasing needs.
• Assist with cost control by monitoring inventory usage while maintaining quality standards. ──────── ✦ ✷ ✦ ──────── Team Development
• Train new Guest Room Attendants on KG Motel standards and procedures.
• Conduct ongoing coaching through daily room inspections and hands-on training.
• Recognize outstanding performance and celebrate team accomplishments.
• Assist with performance evaluations and corrective coaching when necessary.
• Encourage teamwork by promoting a culture where team members support one another and take pride in their work.
• Model and reinforce the KG Motel HEART Model in every interaction. ──────── ✦ ✷ ✦ ──────── Property Appearance
• Conduct routine property walks to identify cleanliness concerns, maintenance issues, and safety hazards.
• Coordinate with the Operations Manager and Chief Engineer to ensure maintenance issues are resolved promptly.
• Help maintain the appearance of guest corridors, public areas, employee spaces, laundry facilities, and exterior housekeeping areas.
• Ensure KG Motel consistently presents a clean, welcoming, and well-maintained appearance. ──────── ✦ ✷ ✦ ──────── Safety & Security
• Follow and enforce all KG Motel safety policies and chemical handling procedures.
• Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored, labeled, and used properly.
• Never allow unauthorized individuals access to occupied guestrooms or guest information.
• Maintain accurate Lost & Found documentation and ensure items are secured according to policy.
• Report accidents, injuries, maintenance concerns, and safety hazards immediately.
• Help maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and team members. ──────── ✦ ✷ ✦ ──────── Qualifications
• Previous housekeeping leadership or hospitality supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and develop team members.
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Working knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning procedures, and inventory

Pay:

$18.00 - $19.00 per hour
