$18.00 per hour Holiday Inn Virginia Beach/Norfolk is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our team. This position supports the Executive Housekeeper in ensuring that guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas meet brand standards and deliver an exceptional guest experience. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running , bring strong operational experience, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced hotel environment . Position Summary The Assistant Housekeeping Manager assists in supervising daily housekeeping operations, supporting staff, maintaining cleanliness standards, and ensuring efficient room turnaround to support hotel occupancy and guest satisfaction. This role requires someone who is organized, proactive, and capable of adjusting quickly to changing operational needs. Key Responsibilities Assist in supervising the daily operations of the housekeeping department Support scheduling, shift coverage, and task assignments for housekeeping staff Conduct room inspections to ensure compliance with Holiday Inn / IHG brand standards Monitor housekeeping productivity and assist with workflow adjustments during busy periods Help train new housekeeping associates and reinforce service and cleanliness standards Address guest concerns or requests related to housekeeping services Ensure housekeeping carts, closets, and supplies are properly stocked and maintained Assist with inventory tracking and supply ordering Support departmental documentation and reports Promote teamwork and maintain a positive work environment for housekeeping staff Assist with other operational duties as assigned Qualifications Previous hotel housekeeping supervisory or management experience preferred Strong understanding of hotel housekeeping operations and cleanliness standards Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment Strong leadership and communication skills Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and guest satisfaction Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift as required in a hotel operational setting Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will be someone who: Can jump in immediately and support daily operations Is comfortable leading and supporting housekeeping staff Is adaptable and able to adjust to operational needs quickly Brings a team-focused mindset and strong work ethic
