Schedule:

Evening Hours (Part-Time; schedule determined by business needs) Position Summary Bay Point Labs is seeking a dependable Part-Time Laboratory Janitorial Assistant to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment. This position performs routine cleaning and sanitation tasks while following laboratory safety procedures and applicable regulations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize laboratory benches, countertops, and work surfaces.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain laboratory and common area floors.
• Empty trash and replace liners.
• Assist with laboratory sample disposal following established procedures.
• Clean sinks, break areas, restrooms, and other designated areas.
• Restock cleaning and sanitation supplies.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to management.
• Ensure cleaning tasks are completed according to laboratory standards.
• Follow all laboratory safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform additional housekeeping duties as assigned. Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Comfortable working in a laboratory environment while following safety protocols. Physical Requirements
• Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach.
• Lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Push and pull cleaning equipment and trash containers.
• Use cleaning chemicals and supplies safely while wearing required PPE.
• Perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience cleaning medical, laboratory, or healthcare facilities.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety practices and proper chemical handling.
