Duties Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to uphold cleanliness standards. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners to maintain floors and surfaces. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and safety protocol adherence. Support heavy lifting and manual handling activities using safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment efficiently. Maintain sanitation by disinfecting high-touch surfaces and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Use custodial tools and cleaning supplies effectively while adhering to safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Respond promptly to custodial requests from staff or management to address immediate cleaning or maintenance needs. Requirements Prior custodial or janitorial experience is preferred; candidates with commercial cleaning or industrial cleaning background are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation (including floor buffers), and sanitation standards is highly desirable. Ability to handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while practicing safe lifting practices. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards across all areas. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed. Ability to follow safety protocols diligently and work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; reliability and punctuality are essential for success in this role.
