Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, including door handles, tables, counters, and light switches.
Clean common areas as assigned.
Replenish restroom and cleaning supplies, including soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.
Maintain janitorial equipment and ensure cleaning supplies are stored properly.
Follow all safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and operating equipment.
Maintain professional conduct and respect client property, employees, and visitors.
Complete assigned cleaning checklists and daily task reports.
Perform additional cleaning duties as directed by the supervisor or site management. Safety RequirementsFollow all applicable workplace safety rules and site-specific procedures.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).Use cleaning chemicals according to product labels and safety data sheets.
Keep walkways clear and place wet-floor signs whenever necessary.
Follow established procedures for waste disposal and spill cleanup.
Report all workplace injuries, hazards, and incidents promptly.
Follow all applicable client rules regarding restricted areas and industrial equipment. Qualifications and SkillsPrevious janitorial or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable attendance, punctuality, and professional behavior.
Ability to safely perform physical cleaning duties, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting within assigned job requirements.
Willingness to complete required site-specific safety training. Performance Expectations The Janitorial Worker is expected to: Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation standards established by the client.
Complete assigned tasks within the designated shift.
Follow the approved cleaning schedule and checklist.
Maintain safe work practices at all times.
Report issues promptly and communicate effectively with the supervisor.
