Rolling Hills Estates Schedule:

25-30 hours a week depending on weekly events. Typically, early mornings or late evenings, as well as weekends with a 5 to 6-hour shift required

Pay:

$20-$24 per hour D.O.E. Serious Applicants Only Please Work will be performed within the Palos Verdes Performing Arts venues, therefore, professionalism, attention to detail and dependability are of the utmost requirements to be successful in this position. 1 to 2 years janitorial experience is a must. Requirements & Qualifications:

Reliable transportation Fluent in English Follow all safety and personnel rules, policies and regulations. Must be organized and able to follow a routine schedule. Able to lift 35 lbs and carry a 12 lb backpack vacuum cleaner. Physically able to be on your feet during an entire shift; walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching. Self-motivated and ability to work in a team environment. Integrity and ability to work independently. Essential Duties & Responsibilities (including, but not limited to): Ability to follow instructions. Cleans and polishes fixtures, surfaces, trim, drinking fountains, and wash entrance glass doors, mirrors, doors, ceiling vents, etc. Vacuums rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture and hard floor area. Spot clean carpets (Identify any carpet spots that do not come up with regular spotting methods to the coordinator.) Dusts with a microfiber cloth all desks, filling cabinets, chairs, picture frames, window sills and any other furniture and equipment requiring dusting. Polishes brass handrails. Empties wastebaskets and places new liners in waste cans and transports trash and waste to disposal area. Disinfect and sanitize telephones. Breakdown and recycle boxes. Sweep, dust mop and/or wet mop tile, vinyl, and cement floors. Properly secure the designated building areas Replenish bathroom supplies (paper towel, toilet paper and soap dispensers) Thoroughly clean and disinfect restroom toilets/sinks, showers, partitions, counters, walls and mirrors. Occasional clean-up of human waste and other body fluids, if necessary. Sweep and mop restroom floors with specified chemical solution. Spot clean doors, light switches, counters, walls, etc. Report to supervisor any areas that are not possible to clean due to access, buildup or deferred maintenance. Ensure that your custodial closet/area is always neat, organized, stocked and clean (free from clutter, debris, waste, non-specified equipment, food) and in good working condition. Always report to supervisor if equipment is not working or damaged. Ensure that your cleaning equipment is always kept cleaned and organized, and stocked at the end of each shift Employment is contingent to passing and clearing a background check.
