Summary Performs routine duties in the cleaning and servicing of any area which may be assigned; supplies area with items which are required for the convenience and comfort of the guest. Job Duties Empties all exterior trash receptacles and ashtrays Cleans all outside area walkways; cleans railings and washes all EXIT doors. Cleans public restrooms as needed Washes first floor windows as needed Cleans and scrubs sidewalks of spills and stains Maintain cleanliness of guest grills and ensure stock of gas, assist guests as needed Removal of all trash from parking lot, landscaping and around the building Removal of cigarette butts as needed throughout the building exterior Clean out pet disposal containers and removal of pet waste as needed Patrols pool area -empties garbage, removes used towels and replaces as necessary, wiping of tables, chairs, drinking fountains, equipment, pool deck, fence etc. Reports to Chief Engineer any necessary information. Reports exterior items that require repair to Chief Engineer Water plants and weed as needed Turns in all lost and found articles immediately as per proper procedure. Operates a light power washer Maintain cleanliness of pond on the property - clean out trash on regular basis Ensure dumpster area is cleaned and maintained to keep out wildlife and ensure locked and secured at all times Security of hotel grounds. See something say something. Report any trespassers or strange behavior to manager on duty. Assists with deep cleaning efforts including moving furniture and equipment Assists engineer with handling items/equipment which require team lifting. Assist in securing the exterior of the hotel in times of weather extremes or emergencies Performs routine plumbing repairs, including installation of toilet, sinks, and other hardware & fixtures, and laundry/kitchen equipment. Updates engineering log during assigned shift. Assists Chief Engineer in administration of an on-going preventive maintenance program for equipment and guest rooms. Performs preventive maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis as per brand specific standards. Services the hotel's pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters. Completes maintenance logs and follows the tracking system/Quore. Additional duties may be added at any time at the discretion of management. Consistently models the behavior of a ' Baywood Ambassador' who: Maintains a professional image, including grooming, verbiage, and body language, at all times. Warmly greets both guests and coworkers (using the 10/5, first & last rule) every time they come in contact. Actively listens to guests, responding appropriately to their questions and/or concerns. Seeks guidance and/or assistance from others to ensure satisfaction. Fosters teamwork by offering assistance to others, as needed. Continuously monitors the surroundings at work, in order to identify any cleanliness, safety, security, or building upkeep issues. Reports discrepancies to the proper department. Contributes to a safe work environment by following proper safety guidelines in matters of attire, utilizing protective gear, and following safety procedures. Recommends other Baywood properties to our guests, when appropriate. Makes a genuine effort to identify and seize each golden opportunity to 'WOW the guest!' demonstrating our motto ' It's Better at Baywood!
Ability to read and understand and communicate chemical labels, and Safety Data Sheets, Instructions. Ability to gain knowledge of applicable franchise standards and procedures. Ability to complete applicable housekeeping forms and to communicate any problems and/or unusual conditions to management Ability to read and comprehend manuals Ability to positively communicate with guests and co-workers. Ability to work within scheduling guidelines. Ability to work with minimal or no supervision Ability to follow schedule and ability to perform physical labor. Ability to read and understand chemical labels, and Safety Data Sheets, Instructions. Requires ability to perform light to moderately heavy housekeeping duties using the approved chemicals and equipment
