A mid-sized condominium association on Siesta Key is seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance/Janitorial Staff Member with experience in general maintenance and janitorial work. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and functionality of the Association's common areas, buildings, amenities, and grounds. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform daily upkeep and cleaning of all common areas, including pool and pool deck areas. A pool maintenance license is a plus. Blow down sidewalks, walkways, decks, and other areas as needed. Pick up litter and maintain a clean and attractive property. Complete assigned maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner. Maintain pool furniture, common-area furniture, and bathrooms. Assist with routine maintenance of buildings, grounds, and amenities. Conduct periodic inspections of grounds, buildings, and structures and report needed repairs, maintenance concerns, or safety issues to the General Manager. Assist with preparing common areas and amenities for residents and guests. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Provide courteous and professional service to owners and residents. Complete assigned work efficiently and with attention to detail. Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of maintenance, janitorial, or related experience preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Must have a valid driver's license, proof of current automobile insurance, and current vehicle registration. Must be able to properly and safely use tools, equipment, supplies, materials, and chemicals without endangering yourself, other employees, residents, or the environment. Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures. Take direction from the Senior Maintenance Manager and General Manager. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds. Must be able to carry ladders and other equipment. Must be able to climb stairs and walk throughout the property during the workday. Must be able to work outdoors in Florida weather conditions.
