Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, windows, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely following established chemical handling safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without risk. Conduct heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed for cleaning or maintenance purposes. Maintain facilities by performing custodial duties including trash removal, restocking supplies, and minor repairs to uphold cleanliness standards. Operate cleaning machinery efficiently while adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents or damage. Support general maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting in residential or commercial settings as required. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries politely and ensuring the environment remains clean, safe, and inviting for all visitors. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential environments is highly preferred. Familiarity with cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, sanitation procedures, and the operation of cleaning equipment like floor buffers and vacuums. Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures to ensure safe use of cleaning products. Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices. Strong understanding of safety protocol adherence in cleaning operations to prevent hazards and ensure compliance with health standards. Customer service skills that enable friendly communication with staff and visitors while maintaining a professional demeanor.
