Job Description

Position Title:
Maintenance Associate Pay Rate:
$22.60/

Atlanta Container (Forest Park, GA)
The Job You Will Perform:
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Participate in the Maintenance Associate Program, completing on-the-job and online training in mechanical, electrical, and preventive maintenance over approximately eighteen (18) months. Demonstrate proficiency in all key areas of the Maintenance Associate Training Matrix and pass the AON General Mechanic/Journeyman test to advance to a qualified maintenance journeyman/mechanic. Maintain satisfactory performance and progress throughout the program. Assist qualified mechanics with routine maintenance (e.g., lubrication, inspections, adjustments) and help respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime. Learn to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam systems using appropriate tools, manuals, and schematics. Accurately complete maintenance records and keep supervisors informed of equipment issues and progress. Work effectively with team members, vendors, and subcontractors to meet maintenance goals and support plant operations. Perform other tasks as assigned to support overall maintenance and production efficiency. Applicants must be willing to work alternate shifts, weekends, and daily overtime as required.
The Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge You Will Bring:
A high school diploma (or GED) is required. One to two years' experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is required. Experience in the corrugated or converting industry is preferred but not required.
