Knowledge of the methods, materials, and practices of building and grounds work; ability to\noperate and maintain custodial and grounds care equipment; including auto scrubbers, and burnish\nmachine, uses personal protective equipment and other safety tools and practices; monitors building\nspaces and grounds to ensure a safe and secure environment; possesses a basic knowledge of emergency\nresponse procedures. Must be consistently professional and ethical, and respect the values of\nconfidentiality and integrity. Is also willing to take and follow directions. Good organizational skills,\ndelegation skills, and motivational skills. PRIMARY DUTY

The work involves varied building cleaning\nduties and related facilities and grounds maintenance work.\n

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

\n1. Has a positive attitude toward job and customer service. Dresses appropriately for a school setting\n2. Cleans and maintains a variety of other surfaces such as ceilings, chalkboards, counter and table\ntops, lockers, etc.\n3. Comply with all regulatory mandates.\n4. Work independently, organize, and use time effectively. Can work effectively with frequent\ninterruptions and adapt to changing circumstances, shows initiative\n5. Assists school staff by making deliveries to classrooms, moving furniture and other heavy objects\nbetween rooms, and performing other manual or strenuous tasks.\n6. Responsible for the overall condition of the building and grounds.\n7. Safely work with cleaning chemicals and refuse in compliance with all required regulations\n8. Order and maintain building supplies and maintenance of supply budget.\n9. Operates power mower in cutting lawns and cleans up rubbish from grounds and adjacent areas.\n10. Operates all cleaning equipment to include basic tools for maintenance such as ladders, tools, etc.\n11. Dusts, sweeps, mops, vacuums, scrubs, buffs, and cleans floors, carpets, hallways classrooms,\nlocker rooms, gymnasiums, cafeterias, large group rooms, and office space\n12.
