Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure all areas are hygienic, well-maintained, and presentable. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to adhering to safety protocols while delivering exceptional custodial service. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a positive atmosphere and support the overall maintenance of our facilities. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Handle cleaning chemicals and agents safely according to established safety procedures and protocols. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment following safe lifting practices. Maintain sanitation standards in restrooms, kitchens, and common areas by disinfecting surfaces and replenishing supplies. Assist with minor custodial repairs or maintenance tasks as needed to ensure facility upkeep. Follow safety guidelines diligently during all cleaning activities and report any hazards or maintenance issues promptly. Skills Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with familiarity in commercial or industrial cleaning environments. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and the proper handling of chemical agents. Ability to operate various cleaning equipment including floor buffers and industrial vacuums effectively. Excellent manual handling skills with an understanding of safe lifting practices for heavy objects or supplies. Customer service orientation with the ability to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary. Basic facilities maintenance skills with experience in general upkeep or minor repairs. Knowledge of safety protocols related to chemical handling safety procedures and facility safety standards.
