Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors using appropriate techniques such as floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing to maintain a polished appearance. Handle cleaning tasks across multiple surfaces, including carpets, tiles, and hard floors, utilizing specialized equipment like floor buffers and carpet cleaning machines. Safely operate cleaning equipment and use floor care chemicals responsibly, following all safety protocols related to chemical agent handling. Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, furniture, or equipment to facilitate cleaning operations efficiently. Maintain high standards of cleanliness by dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing restrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly. Apply floor waxing and floor refinishing techniques to restore surface quality and extend flooring lifespan. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests and ensuring their satisfaction with the cleaning services provided. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial environment with knowledge of environmental services practices. Demonstrated ability to perform floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and carpet cleaning effectively. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, extractors, vacuum cleaners, and related tools. Experience handling floor cleaning chemicals safely while adhering to health and safety regulations. Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts. Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards. Excellent communication skills coupled with a customer service-oriented mindset.
