Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Custodian and Maintenance person to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our facilities and performing light maintenance duties. Responsibilities

• The primary duties include, but are not limited to: Washing, cleaning and preparing laboratory glassware, general cleaning duties of laboratory itself (janitorial duties), assisting laboratory technicians with various tasks throughout the day.

Thorough training will be provided on performance of the following duties. The employee is not expected, nor allowed to perform these duties unsupervised until or unless management determines the employee can perform these duties efficiently, accurately and safely without direct supervision. Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas and solutions, organized thought processes, polite and respectful of others.
• The ability to interact with many different types of individuals, including executives, scientists, engineers, regulatory authorities and other business professionals.
• The ability to self-start, prioritize work responsibilities and complete projects in a timely manner.
• The ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team, as well as independently and with minimal supervision.
• The ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships. This includes communications with co-workers and management.
• Adhere to company quality control, health and safety policies, and other requirements relating to testing procedures and the use and care of company equipment.
• Perform all work duties and communications in a fair, tolerant and honest manner consistent with applicable policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Perform custodial duties such as cleaning, mopping, and sanitizing designated areas
• Assist with painting tasks as needed
• Ensure proper upkeep of all cleaning equipment and supplies
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or replacements needed
• Maintain a clean and orderly environment at all times
• Perform light maintenance duties such as changing lightbulbs, equipment maintenance Experience
• Proven experience in commercial and industrial cleaning
• Familiarity with custodial practices and procedures
• Knowledge of floor care techniques
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Previous experience is a plus
