This role involves performing a variety of cleaning duties to ensure all areas are hygienic, well-maintained, and compliant with safety standards. The ideal candidate will be energetic, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality custodial services that support the overall operations of our organization. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Handle cleaning chemicals and agents safely according to established safety protocols, ensuring proper storage and disposal. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment following safe lifting practices to prevent injury. Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and high-touch surfaces regularly. Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention. Follow safety procedures diligently to ensure a hazard-free environment for staff and visitors. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices. Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and chemical sprayers. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to chemical handling safety procedures. Strong manual handling skills with experience in heavy lifting and safe lifting practices. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with staff or visitors. Knowledge of sanitation standards and facility maintenance procedures. Prior experience in industrial cleaning, Porter roles, or residential painting is a plus but not required.
