Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using commercial cleaning equipment such as a power washer, vacuum Handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks, ensuring compliance with chemical handling safety procedures. Conduct light maintenance duties such as painting touch-ups, replacing light bulbs, and minor repairs to keep facilities in top condition. Operate cleaning equipment efficiently, including vacuums, and carpet cleaners, to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Assist with heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment. Follow safety protocols diligently during all custodial and maintenance activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Support general facilities maintenance tasks such as trash removal, restocking supplies, and inspecting for safety hazards to ensure a secure environment. unclogging sink and tub drains, sometimes toilets cleaning and maintenance hotel vacuums sweeping and cleaning off sidewalks, picking up trash from landscaping rocks, sidewalks and parking lot. cleaning around the dumpster Skills experience in janitorial or custodial roles with strong knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures. Skilled in handling chemical agents safely and understanding chemical handling safety procedures. Ability to operate cleaning equipment including floor buffers and carpet cleaners effectively. Experience with industrial cleaning techniques and residential painting is a plus. Capable of heavy lifting and manual handling while adhering to safe lifting practices. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed. Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices including basic repairs and sanitation standards. This position is part time and can be 10-20 hours a week. We let you pick your schedule but should be day time hours and occasionally sundays after busy weekends.
