Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial/Maintenance professional to join our team. In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of our facilities. Your efforts will help create a positive environment where children can learn and grow confidently. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with custodial experience who enjoy hands-on work and maintaining high standards of sanitation and safety. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across all areas of the facility Handle chemical agents safely while cleaning and sanitizing surfaces to ensure compliance with safety protocols Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners to maintain floors and carpets in pristine condition Conduct light maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting, and ensuring equipment functions properly Follow safety procedures during heavy lifting and manual handling activities to prevent injuries Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, classrooms, hallways, and common areas to promote sanitation standards Assist with facilities maintenance projects as needed to support a safe and welcoming environment Skills Proven janitorial experience with knowledge of commercial cleaning practices Ability to handle chemical agents safely following proper safety procedures Skilled in operating cleaning equipment like floor buffers and other custodial tools Strong understanding of sanitation standards and heavy lifting safety practices Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary Experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is a plus Ability to perform manual handling tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols Join our team to make a meaningful difference by maintaining a clean and safe environment.
