Overview We are seeking a dedicated Custodian Maintenance professional to join our facilities team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized environment across our premises. The ideal candidate will possess strong custodial and maintenance skills, with a focus on sanitation, floor care, and equipment handling. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the overall safety and cleanliness of our facilities, ensuring a positive experience for staff and visitors alike. Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning of all areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces, adhering to established sanitation standards. Handle chemical agents safely and in accordance with chemical handling safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without hazards. Conduct routine maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and general upkeep of facility surfaces. Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while following safe lifting practices to prevent injury. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; ensure proper storage and usage. Follow safety protocols consistently to promote a secure environment for all staff and visitors. Support facilities maintenance activities by identifying issues requiring professional repair or service. Qualifications Proven custodial or janitorial experience with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning procedures. Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and sanitation standards. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safety protocol adherence. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors. Basic facilities maintenance skills including minor repairs and painting. Prior porter or maintenance experience preferred but not required; training will be provided. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
