m. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Janitor to oversee cleaning operations at a prominent government facility. In this vital role, you will lead a team of janitorial staff, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety are maintained throughout the premises. Your leadership will help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and stakeholders. In this position, you will perform essential contract work for government and military agencies, contributing to high-quality products and services nationwide. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning activities, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation. Train and mentor janitorial staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and equipment use. Manage the use and maintenance of cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and chemical dispensers. Ensure compliance with chemical handling safety procedures and proper storage of cleaning agents to maintain a safe work environment. Perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when moving furniture or large cleaning supplies. Conduct regular inspections to verify cleanliness standards are met and address any deficiencies promptly. Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, safety protocols adherence, and inventory of supplies and equipment. Skills Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team effectively. Proven experience in commercial or industrial cleaning environments with strong custodial skills. Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors using floor buffers and related equipment. Ability to handle chemical agents safely following safety protocol guidelines; familiarity with chemical handling safety procedures is essential. Strong understanding of facilities maintenance practices and sanitation standards. Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly with staff and visitors. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and prolonged periods of standing or walking. Join us in maintaining a pristine environment where safety meets excellence!
