Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and energetic Custodian to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our school facilities. Your efforts will ensure a healthy environment for students, staff, and visitors by performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks with precision and care. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to keep all areas tidy and sanitary Handle chemical agents safely while cleaning classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas in accordance with safety protocols Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners to maintain high standards of cleanliness Conduct floor care procedures including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to preserve flooring quality Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, minor repairs, and painting to support facility upkeep Follow safety procedures during heavy lifting and manual handling tasks to prevent injuries and ensure safe work practices Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules and supplies used for accountability and inventory management Qualifications Prior custodial or janitorial experience in a school or commercial setting is preferred Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures Ability to operate various cleaning equipment including floor buffers and carpet cleaners Strong manual handling skills with an understanding of safe lifting practices Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining a clean environment Good customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks throughout the shift Join our team to help create a safe, clean, and inviting learning environment! Pay:
