Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to join our team and help maintain a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment. This role is vital in ensuring that all spaces are clean, organized, and meet high standards of sanitation and safety. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence in custodial services. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including but not limited to taking equipment apart to sanitize it. Cleaning Grinders, machines, saws, floors and tables. Handle cleaning with appropriate chemical agents following safety protocols to ensure effective sanitation without hazards Operate cleaning equipment such as hose and pressure washer. Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment in accordance with safe lifting practices Maintain facilities by performing minor custodial repairs and reporting larger maintenance issues to the appropriate teams Follow all safety procedures related to chemical handling safety procedures and ensure proper storage of cleaning supplies and equipment Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning standards Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as pressure washers Experience handling chemical agents safely and adhering to chemical handling safety procedures Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper safety techniques Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation and cleanliness standards Good communication skills for effective teamwork Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices and basic repair skills is a plus Join us in creating a clean, safe environment that supports productivity and well-being! This position will have set hours 5pm-12am and can vary between 30-40 hours a week. There will be overtime during our busier seasons. Anything over 40 hours is paid time and a half.
