Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. As a Custodian, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all areas are hygienic, well-maintained, and compliant with safety standards. Your proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance will contribute to a positive experience for staff, visitors, and clients alike. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including fabrication shop, floors, restrooms, offices, kitchen/breakroom and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies Handle chemical agents safely by following established safety protocols for storage, mixing, and disposal Operate floor buffers and other custodial equipment to maintain high standards of floor care and buffing Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs such as repairs or sanitation issues and report them promptly Follow safety procedures during manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting or moving furniture to prevent injuries Maintain cleanliness of all cleaning tools and supplies, ensuring proper storage and sanitation practices Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks, including minor repairs or painting as needed Safe removal of all waste receptacles to appropriate outdoor disposal site Requirements Proven custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or residential settings Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers effectively Strong manual handling skills with an understanding of safe lifting practices for heavy objects Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards staff and visitors Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols diligently in the factory setting Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including standing for long periods, bending, lifting heavy items, and performing manual labor tasks Join our team as a Custodian and be part of a vibrant organization committed to maintaining pristine environments that foster productivity and well-being.
