Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency. Schedule Monday through Friday on 1st shift Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming in designated areas. Maintain floors through buffing, waxing, and polishing to ensure a clean appearance. Conduct residential painting as needed to enhance the aesthetic of the facilities. Carry out commercial cleaning duties in offices, restrooms, and common areas to uphold hygiene standards. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to ensure all equipment is functioning properly. Handle industrial cleaning responsibilities in designated areas while adhering to safety protocols. Serve as a porter by managing waste disposal and recycling efforts throughout the premises. Respond promptly to any cleaning emergencies or special requests from management or staff. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or needs for replenishment. Qualifications Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not required. Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and waxing is a plus. Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and industrial cleaning standards is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards consistently. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
