Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in a small office building (6,000 sf) every Tuesday and Friday 3pm to 6pm, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with a focus on commercial cleaning standards. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to maintain cleanliness. Conduct thorough industrial cleaning of facilities, ensuring all areas are sanitized and free of debris. Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts in compliance with environmental standards. Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, replenishing supplies as necessary. Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning schedules are met efficiently. Experience Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Familiarity with floor care techniques is beneficial. Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices and safety protocols is a plus. Experience in facilities maintenance or porter services will be advantageous. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team is essential.
