Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Lobby Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our building's main entrance area. As a vital part of our facilities maintenance team, you will ensure that the lobby remains welcoming, hygienic, and well-maintained for visitors, staff, and clients alike. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create a positive first impression and uphold our commitment to a clean and safe environment. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of lobby floors using floor buffers and appropriate floor care equipment to ensure a spotless surface. Handle various cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing all lobby surfaces such as countertops, glass doors, windows, and furniture. Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to chemical handling safety procedures. Maintain cleanliness of entryway fixtures, including door handles, light switches, and seating areas to promote sanitation standards. Assist with custodial tasks such as trash removal, replenishing supplies, and minor maintenance to keep the lobby inviting at all times. Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting or manual handling activities to prevent injuries. Support facilities maintenance efforts by reporting any damages or safety hazards promptly. Requirements Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles, preferably within commercial or residential facilities. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and chemical agent handling safety protocols. Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums effectively. Strong manual handling skills with an understanding of safe lifting practices for heavy objects or equipment. Excellent customer service skills to interact politely with visitors and staff while maintaining a professional demeanor. Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks including basic repairs or minor painting is a plus. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following safety guidelines diligently.
