Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodial Worker to join our facilities maintenance team. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle various chemical agents safely for cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance tasks following all safety protocols. Conduct routine janitorial duties including trash removal, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards. Operate cleaning machinery and tools efficiently while adhering to safe lifting practices and manual handling procedures. Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting, and ensuring equipment is in good working order. Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, safety inspections, and supply inventories. Respond promptly to facility needs or customer service requests to ensure a clean and welcoming environment. Hours are flexible during during normal business hours Monday - Thursday 8:00am-4:00 pm. Requirements Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, mops, and chemical handling safety procedures. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices. Strong understanding of sanitation standards and safety protocol adherence in a facilities setting. Excellent manual handling skills combined with attention to detail in cleaning tasks. Good customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed. Prior experience with facilities maintenance or Porter roles is preferred but not required.
