OverviewJob Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-Time Daytime General Cleaner to join our team at EcoTec Commercial Cleaning. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our Nassau and Suffolk County facilities. Whether working in residential spaces, commercial facilities, or hospitality environments, you will be the driving force behind cleanliness and sanitation. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure that all spaces are spotless, well-maintained, and meet the highest standards of cleanliness. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of residential, commercial, or hospitality spaces, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal Maintain high standards of sanitation by disinfecting bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly Conduct floor care activities including polishing, buffing, and carpet cleaning to preserve flooring quality Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are well-maintained and properly stored Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs promptly and professionally Follow safety protocols and health regulations diligently during all cleaning task

Qualifications:

Knowledge of cleaning techniques such as floor care, sanitation practices, and carpet cleaning method Prior custodial or janitorial experience required; commercial and residential cleaning background is required Hands on experience with commercial cleaning machines a plus Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Must have Driver's License and Reliable transportation to commute to various job sites. Must live in Nassau or Suffolk. Good physical stamina; ability to lift and move items as needed. Flexibility in scheduling; availability for day time shifts during weekdays with occasional weekends may be required. Evening shifts will be required based on client's schedule. Bilingual is desired not required. Must be able to understand English. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting moderate loads, and bending as needed Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and industrial cleaning methods. Carpet cleaning machine experience is a plus Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers and industrial vacuums safely and effectively Basic understanding of safety procedures related to chemical handling and equipment use Reliable with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills in facilities maintenance.
