Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination. Conduct custodial tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and sanitation to uphold cleanliness standards. Operate cleaning machinery including floor buffers and other custodial equipment to maintain high-quality floor care and buffing. Assist with light maintenance duties such as minor repairs or residential painting tasks to support overall facilities upkeep. Follow safety protocols diligently during heavy lifting or manual handling activities to prevent injuries and ensure safe lifting practices. Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, safety checks, and supply inventories to support efficient operations. Skills Proven experience in commercial or industrial cleaning environments with custodial expertise. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and proper chemical handling safety procedures. Ability to operate cleaning equipment like floor buffers and other custodial tools effectively. Excellent manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices for heavy objects or supplies. Customer service orientation with the ability to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed. Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as basic repairs or residential painting is a plus. Commitment to adhering to safety protocols at all times while performing janitorial duties.
