Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented New Construction Cleaner to join our professional cleaning team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing newly constructed or renovated buildings for occupancy by ensuring they meet high standards of cleanliness and safety. Your work will involve cleaning various surfaces, handling specialized cleaning equipment, and adhering to safety protocols to deliver a pristine environment for clients and occupants. The ideal candidate will possess strong janitorial experience, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining sanitation standards across diverse construction sites. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of new construction sites, including dust removal, debris clearance, and surface sanitation. Clean windows using appropriate techniques such as pressure washing or manual methods to ensure clarity and shine. Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, pressure washers, and floor care machinery. Handle chemical cleaning agents safely, following proper procedures for chemical handling and disposal. Conduct floor care activities such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning to restore surfaces to optimal condition. Assist with sanitation practices related to infection control standards on-site. Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) consistently to ensure safety during all cleaning tasks. Perform heavy lifting of supplies or equipment as required while following manual handling safety guidelines. Support laundry services for cleaning cloths or uniforms used during construction projects. Maintain detailed records of completed tasks and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly. Skills Proven experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial roles within new construction environments. Proficiency in window cleaning techniques and pressure washing equipment operation. Strong knowledge of sanitation standards and infection control protocols. Ability to handle chemicals safely with proper PPE use and disposal procedures. Skilled in operating various cleaning tools and equipment for floor care and general sanitation. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and extended periods of active work. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with project managers or site supervisors. Knowledge of proper infection control practices relevant to construction sites. Experience with laundry services related to janitorial supplies or uniforms is a plus.
