Deliver compassionate and convenient care to the highest level of excellence that promotes lifelong health and wellness for our community Cleaning Services Professionals are responsible for cleaning and servicing public, clinical, and administrative areas; including daily and annual floor care maintenance. Cleaning Services provides services to the acute care hospital, Norwalk Memorial Home, Transitional Care Unit, and other support departments. Documentation is maintained of all activities. Cleaning Services Professionals Must be able to verbalize departmental scripting to provide our patients, visitors, and staff exceptional customer service while enhancing the patient experience. Follows the 6 Step Cleaning Process and/or Area Specific SWI's. Cleans patient room discharges and isolation discharges to standard. Dust mop and wet mop floors and corridors on a routine basis; including the applicable use of an auto-scrubber. Filling supplies and paper products daily or as needed. High dusting during all discharges/terminal cleans and weekly in ancillary and support areas. Cleaning and polishing of sinks, toilets, showers, and plumbing in common areas and restrooms. Spot clean walls and vertical surfaces as needed during the daily cleaning processes and discharges. Collects and transports general trash at designated times; soiled linen and regulated medical waste throughout the facility as needed. Terminally cleans surgery rooms and performs scheduled cycle cleaning. Can package, and inventory all waste streams. Documents and keeps records as required. High School or better in General.
