Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sanitization Worker to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards of our food production and processing facilities. Your efforts will ensure a safe, hygienic environment that complies with strict food safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Duties Perform thorough cleaning of food processing equipment, work surfaces, and production areas using appropriate chemical agents and industrial cleaning techniques. Handle chemical agents safely by following all chemical handling safety procedures, including proper storage, usage, and disposal. Operate cleaning machinery and tools efficiently to ensure all areas meet sanitation standards. Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, goggles, and respiratory protection devices. Conduct routine sanitation inspections to verify compliance with GMP, food safety regulations, and internal quality standards. Assist in the preparation of cleaning schedules and documentation to maintain accurate records of sanitation activities. Support the implementation of sanitation procedures aligned with food processing and production requirements, ensuring a clean environment for safe food handling. Skills Proven experience in cleaning within industrial or commercial settings, especially in food production or processing environments. Knowledge of chemical agent handling and chemical handling safety procedures. Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and techniques used in large-scale facilities. Strong understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety standards. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomic practices. Basic math skills for measuring chemicals accurately and maintaining sanitation logs. Excellent attention to detail to ensure all areas are thoroughly sanitized and compliant with safety protocols. Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines diligently. Effective communication skills for reporting sanitation issues or hazards promptly.
