Duties Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface wiping to ensure cleanliness and hygiene. Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate detergents and cleaning equipment to maintain health standards. Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, scrubbing, polishing, and carpet cleaning to keep floors looking their best. Handle laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items as needed. Maintain cleanliness of surfaces such as countertops, fixtures, windows, and appliances by applying effective cleaning techniques. Use manual handling skills for heavy lifting tasks safely when moving furniture or large cleaning equipment. Manage janitorial supplies inventory and ensure proper storage of cleaning detergents and tools. Communicate effectively with clients regarding specific cleaning needs or concerns to deliver exceptional customer service. Follow all health and safety regulations related to cleaning procedures and equipment usage. Assist with outdoor work when required, including trash removal or outdoor surface cleaning. Experience Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning roles with a strong understanding of janitorial practices. Familiarity with various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and pressure washers. Knowledge of cleaning detergents, sanitation standards, and surface care techniques. Experience in implementing cleaning protocols for different surfaces including carpets, tiles, hardwood floors, and outdoor areas. Ability to manage time efficiently to complete assigned tasks within scheduled periods while maintaining high-quality standards. Prior experience in housekeeping management or custodial roles is advantageous. Strong client communication skills with a focus on delivering excellent customer service in residential or business environments. Physical ability for heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and outdoor work conditions as required by the role.
