Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination. Conduct heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed. Maintain high standards of sanitation by disinfecting surfaces, waste removal, and ensuring restrooms are stocked and hygienic. Execute routine custodial tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, window cleaning, and trash collection with precision and efficiency. Support facilities maintenance activities including minor repairs or reporting larger issues to the appropriate team members. Use commercial cleaning tools and equipment properly to ensure optimal performance and safety during all cleaning operations. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings. Familiarity with cleaning techniques involving chemical agents and the proper handling safety procedures. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while following safety protocols. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary. Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, polishing, and maintenance of various flooring types. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety guidelines.
