Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold high standards of cleanliness. Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, waxers, carpet extractors, and scrubbers to ensure optimal performance. Handle floor cleaning chemicals safely, applying appropriate techniques for floor scrubbing. Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture, equipment, or supplies while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, lobbies, hallways, and other designated areas with attention to detail. Follow environmental services best practices by properly handling chemical agents and disposing of waste responsibly. Skills Experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with knowledge of janitorial procedures. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines for chemical agent handling. Excellent manual handling skills with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely during routine tasks. Customer service orientation with a professional attitude when interacting with clients or visitors. Knowledge of environmental services practices focused on sustainability and safe chemical use for health and safety compliance.
