Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness are upheld. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute significantly to the comfort and safety of our staff, visitors, and clients. Jessica can answer any questions at 1-207-749-1201 Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Safely handle chemical agents used for cleaning and sanitation following all chemical handling safety procedures. Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or injuries during cleaning operations. Support industrial or commercial cleaning projects that may require specialized techniques or equipment. Ensure all cleaning activities adhere to sanitation standards and health regulations to promote a safe environment. Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning procedures. Strong understanding of cleaning techniques. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while following all safety protocols related to chemical handling safety procedures. Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, bending, reaching, and prolonged standing or walking. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on sanitation standards and cleanliness. Good communication skills with a customer service-oriented attitude when interacting with staff or visitors. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while adhering to safety guidelines.
