Overview Join our dynamic facilities maintenance team as a Janitor/Cleaner and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies. Handle chemical agents safely by following established chemical handling safety procedures to ensure a healthy environment for everyone. Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial equipment to maintain high standards of floor care and sanitation. Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs such as light bulb replacements or minor repairs, supporting overall facilities upkeep. Follow safety protocols diligently during heavy lifting and manual handling tasks to prevent injuries and ensure safe working practices. Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning products to ensure continuous availability. Assist with minor residential painting or touch-up tasks as needed to support facility aesthetics. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience with knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures. Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and sanitation tools. Experience handling chemical agents safely while adhering to chemical handling safety procedures. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks using safe lifting practices. Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation and cleanliness standards. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary.
