Overview Join our dedicated Environmental Services team as an Environmental Services Housekeeper and play a vital role in maintaining a pristine, safe, and welcoming environment within healthcare or commercial facilities. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment Utilize proper chemical handling procedures in accordance with safety protocols to ensure effective sanitation without risk to health or environment Follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety protocol requirements at all times Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, sealing, and waxing floors to maintain a polished appearance Operate janitorial equipment safely and effectively while performing routine maintenance on cleaning tools and machinery Support infection prevention efforts by following healthcare-specific sanitation standards and environmental services protocols while minimizing cross-contamination risks Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare facilities or commercial settings is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to chemical handling and manual lifting practices Experience with healthcare infection prevention and control procedures is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following safe lifting practices for tasks involving bulky or heavy items Familiarity with cleaning techniques for various surfaces including floors, countertops, glass, and fixtures Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with staff members and visitors Proven ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments requiring attention to detail Position One is a Floor Technician and is Monday - Friday, 4pm-12:30pm. This position would require daily floor care services. Position Two is Monday - Friday, 8am-4:30pm. This position requires clinic and urgent care support, floating between both.
