This position is Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 1:30pm. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitorial Worker to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle various chemical agents safely for cleaning, sanitation, and disinfecting purposes following established safety protocols. Conduct heavy lifting tasks involving supplies, equipment, or trash removal while practicing safe lifting techniques. Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, ceilings, and fixtures to uphold high standards of sanitation and appearance. Operate custodial equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, mops, and other cleaning tools efficiently and safely. Follow safety procedures during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as painting touch-ups or light repairs when needed. Support industrial or commercial cleaning projects that require specialized skills like buffing or deep sanitation. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to facility needs or inquiries from staff or visitors. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures. Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and industrial vacuums effectively. Experience with heavy lifting and manual handling following safe lifting practices. Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks including basic repairs or residential painting is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to follow safety protocols diligently. Customer service orientation with good communication skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors.
