This position is responsible for preparing sandwiches, salads, seafood rolls, cold food items and related menu items accurately and efficiently. This role is a great fit for someone who is dependable, organized, detail oriented and able to maintain freshness, presentation, cleanliness and accuracy in a fast paced seafood restaurant kitchen. About Lobster Claw The Lobster Claw has been a North Reading staple since 1976. We are a family owned seafood restaurant with loyal customers who have been coming back for decades. We are not a chain. We are a local institution built on quality ingredients, consistent food and genuine hospitality. In 2025, we completed a full renovation, updating our layout, kitchen flow, dining room and adding a beer and wine counter. We are growing our team and looking for people who take their work seriously and want to be part of something that has meant something to this community for nearly 50 years. Key Responsibilities Prepare and assemble sandwiches, salads, seafood rolls, cold food items and related menu items Portion, prep, stock and organize ingredients for sandwich, salad, roll and cold prep stations Read order tickets and assemble items accurately, efficiently and with attention to presentation Prepare cold toppings, garnishes, condiments, rolls, vegetables and salad ingredients for service Maintain freshness, quality, portion consistency and presentation standards Keep the sandwich and salad station clean, stocked, organized and ready during service Follow recipes, prep lists, portion standards and kitchen procedures Follow food safety, sanitation, labeling, storage and rotation procedures Communicate with fry cooks, grill cooks, seafood breaders, prep cooks, expo and kitchen team members Assist with food prep, restocking, cleaning, opening, closing and general kitchen duties as needed Qualifications Previous sandwich assembly, salad prep, food prep, deli, restaurant kitchen or food service experience preferred but not required Seafood restaurant or fast paced restaurant experience strongly preferred Ability to follow recipes, prep lists, portion standards and kitchen procedures Reliable transportation required U.S. work authorization required Must be at least 18 years old Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, organization, accuracy and consistency Ability to work day, night and weekend shifts as needed Strong teamwork and communication skills Compensation and Benefits $18-$22 per hour Flexible scheduling Paid training Free or discounted meals Health insurance Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 25 pounds Ability to bend, reach, lift, portion, assemble food, stock and use kitchen tools Ability to work around seafood, cold food items, cold storage, kitchen equipment and standard kitchen conditions Ability to work in a fast paced restaurant kitchen Equal Opportunity Employer Lobster Claw Seafood Restaurant is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
